To be fair to Nobes, he's the Pele of Peter Butlers.

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
That challenge on Milner was Noble in a nutshell. Great endeavour and determination to win the ball, shocking attempt at crossing it from a good position.

That lack of quality is problematic for a team trying to improve. Hard work is good, but there are plenty of lower league players who work hard.

is it just me or does the playing surface at home seem slower?
maybe just our players as arsenal and a few others have found it fine

Must make a nice change playing on a football pitch rather than the wide plains of Stratford...

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
He started the game poorly, but then had a spell for 25 mins when he was everywhere.

Their midfield was so dominant in the second half, though that's not just on him.

For me personally, we need better if we are to kick on, but judging by some of our recent signings, it's not as easy as that.

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
he played better but I think we need to improve in that area
Kayoute and Noble both losing form at the same time is a big reason for our slump imo

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
Never stops putting in the effort. Lots of tackles, lots of blocks, always getting involved. That tackle on Milner in their half which eventually won us a corner was great to watch. No good having a Payet-like player in the middle who won't get stuck in, so fair play to Nobes.

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
As painful as it is for some we need a better player in there.
We are unable to control games and are outplayed in central midfield virtually every week.

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
If you watch him for a while it can actually be quite amusing, he literally spends 90% of the game chasing after the ball without hardly touching it like when you have that drill where 1 player stands in the middle of a circle of players trying to cut the ball out, but on a larger scale, and when he does get it he is so knackered he usually gives it away, and off he goes again running after it.

Mustard??? Do me a fucking favour.

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
I'm normally a defender of Noble but I think the way he played against Liverpool is the minimum we should expect from a player at this level. Not slagging him off, he worked hard, covered ground and got stuck in. Also noted him being a lot more vocal which may be something Bilic has spoke to him about recently?

But as others have said his distribution was average and he needs to do a lot more with the ball.

But fair play, hard to play against Liverpool who are so offensive.

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
Northern...do you not like mustard ???? he is pointless in this team at present....running around like a headless chicken....he plays like an u/7 school kid just following the ball around with absolutely no clue of which opposition player is in space around him. Sorry to say...I am not a fan of his and just know he is holding us back by taking up a shirt.

Re: Let's give Noble some credit
Worked hard and was more vocal today but still slow and woeful in possession. Those are things though which I don't think will change.
You need players like him in your squad.

Lets see how he does in the next couple of games.
